A nurse anesthetist assists doctors during surgery or other operations to give local or intravenous anesthesia. They put on mask on patient's face and regulate gauges to monitor inflow of oxygen and other gases required by patient for breathing. It then administers anesthesia in controlled environment and perform it as per medical standards.
Nurse anesthetists are required to gather medical information of patients' history before administrating anesthesia to them. It will help them to decide which mode of anesthesia will suits them best. They will get to know about blood pressure and heart rate statistics of patient.
